HOW TO USE MOUSSE & FOAM

Mousses & Foams are arguably one of the most popular ways to fake tan and are great for both tanning newbies and even the most experienced tanners.

A Tan for Every Tone

Our extensive range of Mousses & Foams feature a self tan for every tone, so whether you’re needing a tan in as little as one hour, keep your bed sheets clean, or give you an instant ready-to-go glow, we’ve got you hun.

Streak Free Tan

One of our favorite Mousses we come back to, time and time again is our Professional Tanning Mousse in Medium or Dark, this self tan features an instant guide colour to show where you’ve applied your tan, for a streak-free, even finish. If that wasn’t enough, this mousse also features the ultimate powerhouse combo of Aloe Vera & Vitamin E to keep your self tan lasting longer and your skin silky smooth!

Get Ready for Tanning

First things first, get your scrub on and exfoliate and shave at least 24 hours before you plan on applying your self tan. We would recommend our Professional Pre-Tan Skin Primer, using natural grains, it primes your skin ready for tanning by removing dead skin cells and evening out the skin’s surface to help your tan last for longer!

Circular Motions

Now you are one step closer to achieving the perfect glow and ready to apply your self tan. To start things off you’ll need to get yourself an applicator mitt or glove, this will help you to achieve a flawless finish and avoid staining the palms of your hands! Pump your chosen self tan onto your mitt and then start to blend well in circular motions on your body and face, if your mousse or foam features a guide colour you’ll be able to see if there’s any areas you’ve missed. Areas like your knees, elbows and hands can be some of the trickiest to tan! To avoid streaks, bend your knees and elbows when applying and form a claw shape with your hands, you may feel a bit silly, but it’ll all be worth it when you become actual glow goals.

Put Your Feet Up

You may be done tanning but it’s not over! Before getting dressed make sure your tan is fully dry so you don’t end up with a blotchy finish. If your self tan Mousse or Foam features instant guide colour we’d recommend any loose, dark clothing to avoid any transfer. Once you’re dressed take it easy and put your feet up, whilst your tan develops you’ll want to avoid any contact with water, perspiring or applying any other products to your skin, it’s the perfect excuse to get out of the washing up! Each self tan is different so it’s important to check the development time, on average it’s usually between 4-6 hours, once you’ve reached your glow goals, simply wash away, avoiding any soaps, shower gels or shampoo and you’re good to go!

And there you have it! Our simple steps achieving the perfect tan using our Mousses and Foams!
